Cognitive Hypnotherapy
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is totally individualised and holistic. If you visit a conventional hypnotherapist s/he will often read from a pre-prepared script: the same script that anyone else seeking assistance for the same problem will receive. The reality is that each of us ‘does our problem’ in a way that is truly unique to us. As a Cognitive Hypnotherapist the first session we spend together is usually taken up purely with eliciting information from you so that we can both be sure future sessions and interventions meet your very specific needs.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy allows you to reframe problem patterns from your past and, by doing so, change the way in which you respond to an issue or a problem in the future. Clients often report that changes have benefits that extend beyond purely addressing their presenting issue. It can lead to increased overall confidence, raised levels of self-esteem and enable people to achieve things that they previously would not have considered e.g. changing jobs, increasing their social network.
NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)
Think about this:
Doing something well consistently is not an accident, it is a process
Doing something badly consistently is not an accident, it is a process
NLP provides the tools to understand these processes and develop your ability to change whatever you do that does not bring you the results you want, into something that does. NLP is the study of how each of us makes sense of our own unique world (our map).
By understanding the structure of our map we can identify negative thought patterns that inhibit us (and change them); by understanding the structure of someone else’s map we can understand and communicate with them more effectively. This can help us to improve our relationships in personal, social and business contexts.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments for over five thousand years, but without the invasiveness of needles. Instead, simple tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy onto specific meridians on the head and chest while you think about your specific problem, whether it is a traumatic event, an addiction, pain, etc., and voice positive affirmations.
This combination of tapping the energy meridians and voicing positive affirmation works to clear the “short-circuit” – the emotional block – from your body’s bioenergy system, thus restoring your mind and body’s balance, which is essential for optimal health.
EFT has spread rapidly, because of its very high rate of success, and can now be found in every corner of the world.
